About Specialist
Dr. P L Dhingra is an ENT specialist at Apollo Hospitals, Delhi, and has practised ear, nose, throat and head and neck surgery since 1965 — 61 years in the speciality. His stated special interests are ear surgery for the alleviation of deafness, functional endoscopic sinus surgery, microsurgery of the larynx for voice disorders, and LASER surgery. He has held the post of Director Professor and Head at teaching institutions, training students of MBBS, DLO and MS (ENT). He trained in microsurgery of the ear in the UK, and in endoscopic sinus surgery and lasers in Germany. He is the author of Diseases of Ear, Nose and Throat, published by Elsevier and now in its fourth edition, and has published more than 40 articles in national and international journals. He is President of the Delhi branch of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India.
